
Several commercial drivers and vehicles were placed out of service following a two-day enforcement initiative in Arizona.
Arizona Highway Patrol state troopers assigned to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit conducted three targeted commercial vehicle enforcement details at the McGuireville rest area, Vicksburg, and Casa Grande. The operations focused on identifying hazardous violations known to contribute to collisions.
According to troopers, the enforcement effort resulted in 65 commercial vehicle inspections. During those inspections, officers discovered 225 driver and vehicle examination report (DVER) violations. As a result, 10 drivers and 15 commercial vehicles were placed out of service. Troopers also investigated two commercial vehicle collisions during the details.
