The American Trucking Associations, along with its Technology & Maintenance Council, revealed their plans to organize the fourth yearly observance of National Technician Appreciation Week, scheduled to take place from September 24th to September 30th.

“The men and women who keep our trucks moving are a critical part of our industry and are highly deserving of recognition,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “The work that technicians do is crucial to the work our motor carriers do. By maintaining our trucks and ensuring they are safe and fit for the road, fleets are able to deliver the essential goods that keep our economy running.”

The upcoming National Technician Appreciation Week (NTAW) will serve as a platform to honor the dedication and diligence exhibited by skilled technicians. These professionals hold a pivotal and arduous position within the trucking sector, as stated by the ATA. This initiative will not solely recognize the endeavors of these experts but also contribute to drawing potential individuals towards one of the most sought-after vocations in the industry, as highlighted by the ATA.

“We are very excited to launch the fourth annual National Technician Appreciation Week, highlighting the professional technicians that are so indispensable to the industry,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “Technicians are part of the backbone of the trucking industry. Without them making sure vehicles are ready for service and in safe condition, drivers could not make the deliveries we rely on. This is the perfect time for our industry and the general public to show their appreciation and say ‘Thank you’ to these important individuals and the valuable work they do.”
